I need one of those days that clears your head…that you look at yourself and feel good about how things are and accepts where you are in life. It gets you excited and puts all the bad stuff into perspective…more importantly, it puts it all in a safe place where it does not taint your view of what’s ahead. A day where your efforts are bearing fruit and something small you did a while back comes back in an immeasurable form that has brought goodness to someone and you can be proud. A day that is followed by another…and another…and it’s infectious to those around you. Unbound to someone else’s plan. Full-knowing of the untainted truth…most importantly, surrounded by those you love.

What a happy day! The last days seemed to have gone by like molasses. Then the moment arrived and there are only few moments in my life rivaling with the image burnt in my mind as I discovered my husband in the marching line up.

Since life can’t always consist of fun and exciting adventures we have one here that falls under the ‘Army relocates us and it sucks’ Adventure….Building a deck - in Washington- in the rain- doesn’t get anymore adventurous than that. :-) I was waiting for Tim to get electrocuted while working in the pouring rain with power tools…I was standing by with a working phone ready to dial 911…. Has done a lot, seen a lot, wants a lot and will do much more. His Army duty is almost over (2009) and thoughts of after-Army life keep popping up: Photography, diving, flying. He wants to do it all and for sure he will do most of it.
